The steel for my Bugatti Brescia arrived today!  I am so excited to actually begin fabricating after nearly of 6 months of learning, designing, and gathering parts.   I have spent a little over $1,000 including my steel, wheel rims, bearings, engine, spindles, springs hubs, and other parts from Renegade.  My next major purchase will be a peerless differential.

The past 6 months has been spent watching an endless stream of YouTube videos, learning CAD drawing using Fusion 360, purchasing my Titanium 170 Welder and learning how to weld.  As a primer project, I designed and built an electric boat tug.  It’s butt ugly, but it works and I learned a ton.  This project taught me chains and gearing, welding, and CAD.  I’m still just a grunt beginner, but at least I’m not afraid of using my Flux core MIG  welder and I enjoy designing stuff on Fusion 360 in the evenings.  I still have a lot to learn, but it’s been way fun thus far.  And that has been the point all along anyway.
