On one of my trips to Utah, I arranged to meet Kelly Wood at his home and see all his wonderful karts.  What masterpieces he had there!  I absolutely loved his artistic eye for early period race cars and his innovative way of scrounging for parts.  I love the old style, patinia finish, and amazing details he incorporates into his builds that give his cars real character.  He was very gracious with his time, answered a barrage of questions, and sold me a set of excellent shape used wheels to get me started.  In buying the wheels, I already broke my sacred promise to my wife that I would first sell my airplane project that occupied a good part of the garage before engaging on my cyclekart fantasy.  But I was infected, smitten, and simply could not help myself.  To save my life and marriage, I simply blamed the purchase on Kelly.
