I will build my panel out of aluminum sheet and add the swirl brush finish as many Bugatti’s have that feature.  The panel will be attached to the 1/2″ square tube steel frame used to form the body.
Instruments and devices, I would like to include on the panel are:
  • Speedometer (I learned that a simple boat type GPS receiver works well for vehicle speed)
  • Engine RPM
  • Engine cylinder head temperature gauge
  • Engine oil temperature gauge
  • Engine pressure gauge
  • Time clock
  • Engine ON/OFF switch
  • Engine Choke
  • Engine Prime
  • Smartphone pocket to firmly hold my smart phone while running various speed and GPS mapping apps
I plan on 3D printing the instrument bezels and applying a painted metallic brass finish to make the panel appear authentic. 
The one thing I don’t currently plan on is mounting a fake distrubutor control as was the case with these cars of that period.  I might change my mind, we’ll see.
