The original T59 used a straight eight-cylinder engine with exhaust pipes coming off the left side and outside of the engine hood.  Each exhaust is collected into one main pipe that extends all the way to the rear of the car.  I’ve seen them wrapped in asbestos, chromed, and colored black.  I would like to go the chrome route. I don’t want to use standard stainless steel as that would be very heavy.   Furthermore, the collector gradually grows larger in diameter as it progresses back to the rear.

One concept would be to fashion this out of foam and fiberglass it with only two layers.  I would then attempt to use a good primer and proven chrome paint.  YouTube experimenters found Metal Chrome by Duplicator works the best.  Other excellent contenders are Easy Chrome from Australia and Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome spray by XXXXXXXX.
